I decided to change this into a blog where I can put everything:)

So I went on a weekend trip to Budapest with my friend Alice.  It's such a beautiful city which is hugely popular for its baths; we went to two of them. Szechenyi  is the most famous in Budapest, it was absolutely amazing.  We arrived there very early on the Saturday morning and it was a great way to start off the day.  We got dressed and went straight to the outdoor bath, which I thought was bizarre because it was -1 degrees, so cold.  The thermal bath was 40 degrees, so heavenly.  Apparently it also turns into a disco at night :) We also went to the Gellert Hotel Baths which were also lovely.

The city is divided into two parts, Buda and Pest. They are divided by the Danube river. We wandered around Buda on Saturday after the baths and the next day we spent it around Pest :) The food is really good, we even tried some real Hungarian dishes; Veal and Goose liver.

Main beautiful attractions in Budapest included the Opera House, St. Stephens Basilica, The Parliament, Fishermens Bastion, Hero's square and so much more. They were my favourite.

We went out in the Jewish district which was incredible. We went to Szimpla Kert which is the oldest  ruin bar in Budapest.   An abandoned building restored to have lots of cool bars inside.  On Sunday it also turns into a farmers market and you can sample the food.

We also stayed in probably the coolest hotel ever, it was called lavender circus.  So cheap, for two nights it cost 11 pounds altogether.  The interior was beautiful, a hipsters dream.  The staff were unbelievably nice, they gave us a map and marked out everywhere we should visit.  They also gave us tea when we arrived and offered us wine :)
