Game of Thrones: A Feast for Crows

Game of Thrones
The Game of Thrones book series is by far my favourite book series.  I love the genre, the scheming, plots and characters.  I just love everything about them.

George R.R Martin is a genius and the HBO Game of Thrones series does a fantastic job in bringing the books to life.

I recently finished a feast for crows; don't worry I won't give anything away.  This book was written differently to the others.  Instead of including all characters and giving them their own chapters each.  He has divided the book  to include characters from Kings Landing, the Iron Island, the Eyrie etc.  He also introduced some minor new characters.

Being honest, I was a little bit disappointed he split it, mainly because Tyrion and Khaleesi are my favourite characters. The story was still out of this world though and a bonus is that the next book will mainly follow the characters I love :D:D

The new series is out now, I watched the first episode last night and it really is mind blowing stuff. If you have never heard of the game of thrones, you really should get on the band wagon.  You are truly missing out.

The first law trilogy was also recommended to me because of my love for game of thrones.  I looked it up and George RR Martin actually recommended the book.  I will definitely be purchasing this trilogy once I plough through the books I own at the moment.

Much Love,

My Favourite TV Shows!

Hey Everyone,

So I decided to do a simple post on all of my favourite TV shows.  Bare with me there is a lot.

  1.  Broad City :  This show is funny as hell.  It's based on two girls from New York who are just hilarious.  Each episode has made me curl over with laughter.  They were apparently found through YouTube sketches and comedy central gave them the green light for a show. It was released early 2014 and I'm sure it's doing pretty well!

  2. Game Of Thrones: I'd be really shocked if you haven't seen all the hype around this show.  It's the biz niz! Honestly it's out of this world and the actors are incredibly talented people! The way I try to describe it to people is that it's kind of like Lord of the Rings but totally different.  Not a very good description I know but it's the best I could come up with, just watch it and you'll see J

  3. The Originals: It's a spin off of the Vampire Diaries series which I also watch.  It's actually better than the Vampire Diaries.  The Originals is basically about a family of vampires who are the "Original" vampires. They have relocated to their home town in New Orleans and there's war between the witches and vampires.  The plots in the story are great and the characters are nice to look at!

  4. Breaking Bad: This show was intense, there was/is a lot of hype over it too.  The series is sadly over now but it was some journey.  It's about a man named Walter White who is a chemistry teacher.  He finds out he has cancer and starts making crystal met to support his family when he dies. The character development in this show was insane.  Definitely worth all the hype.

  5. Dexter: I love Dexter, it's about a man named...wait for it...Dexter! He's a serial killer who works for the Miami Metro Police Department as a blood spatter analyst. He hunts down criminals who were never punished or caught for their crimes.  I'm on season five now and only 3 more to go.

  6. The Walking Dead: It's a series based on zombies aka walkers.  It followers a group of people who will do anything to survive.  It's a great show that's capable of scaring you from time to time.

  7. True Blood: There seems to be a theme of all the things I watch.  True blood is based on the Sookie Stackhouse novels written by Charlene Harris.  Again it follows Sookie who is a telepath and is particularly found of Vampires.  The show has everything from fairies, werewolves, witches and lots and lots of crazy people.  I think the next season is going to be the last :(

There's a lot more shows that I have watched; sad but true. Unfortunately they have now come to an end.  I might do another blog post on those shows.
